Student Adds Memorial Stone for Gunman @ AOL news

From the article:
Katelynn Johnson, a senior sociology-psychology major, identified herself in a letter to the Collegiate Times as the person who added the stone for Cho.

"My family did not raise me to do what is popular," she wrote in her letter to the campus newspaper. "They raised me to do what is morally right. We did not lose only 32 students and faculty members that day; we lost 33 lives."

He killed, and then killed himself.

We should not forgive what he did, but we should be able to see it without blinders. And him, too.

Most definitely. Anyone who would do something like that was as much of a victim as those he killed. If he had in some way gotten the help he (in retrospect) clearly needed, none of this madness would have happened.

yay! The colors changed so I can see your journal now! eee!
It must be horrible for Cho's family to know that their kid was the one. I'm glad someone thought to add a stone for him and to point out that he was one of the students lost that day.

Anyway, I heard about the new place falling through. Suckity, suckity, suck suck suck.

I suppose we should look at it this way: You didn't really want that place - you were taking it so you could get 'out of my hair'. You were settling for something you didn't really want just so you could move somewhere. Maybe now you have a chance to find something you like better. Maybe try applying for a position at Nasa (not sure if that's gone anywhere yet?)

If you could line up a job soon maybe that would open your options more?

General thoughts - but anyway, sorry it fell through. Not that I couldn't use a few more rent checks, but hoping for the best.

Re: Off Topic
My tax return did come in, so I can get you a rent check tonight. It will at least make things easier on me financially not to have a place to move into right now. I honestly was happy with the idea of moving in there, but saving money and having the additional space I have now is nice though (since the rooms there are smaller).

I am thinking that looking for more money should be a top priority for now; I am also thinking I should expand my thinking in options about how/where I'll be living. After a year of things falling through, I'm taking it as a sign that there's something I've been totally overlooking.
