At Montgomery College, I've been taking some general studies classes and courses towards transferring to University of Maryland: College Park's Art History & Archaeology program, using the University System of Maryland Articulation System to figure out which classes to take.  Since I've moved to Reisterstown, that makes transferring to College Park a lower probability, so I'm trying to think about where I might go instead.  It only makes sense to stay within the USMD at this point, since I have 37 credits in the system already.

rejoicingapathy pointed out yesterday that Towson University is closest to where I am now, but they don't have an AH&A program.  They do have an Anthropology program, which offers focus in archaeology; I'm not sure how many of my existing credits would apply as course credits, since Art History isn't part of the program.  UMBC doesn't appear to offer archaeology at all, so that wouldn't work.  I think everything else is pretty far away from here.

Once I switch over to being an outside contractor at work, I should have the spare time I need to switch back to attending school full-time.  Unfortunately, I can't rely on that for this coming semester, so I'm only going half-time.  Hopefully, next semester, I'll be able to fill more credits, but it might be awkward if they don't offer what I need as "distance learning" (online) courses.  We'll see how that goes.

I guess I'll just have to set aside some time to talk to the people at Towson and see what transferring there would be like.  Come December, I should have 42 credits towards College Park's AH&A program.  After that, I'd just need six more art credits and 12 language credits to transfer and become a Junior.  I'm not sure what it would take to fulfill all that, though; it's going to be a lot of work and wouldn't be worthwhile to fulfill those credits if I end up in a different program where they aren't a part of the course.  At the same time, if I work towards fulfilling those, it might be a couple years before I transfer, and by that time, I might just end up moving to College Park and/or living on campus there.  We'll see, I guess.

Time to head to bed for another early morning.  Thank goodness it's the last day I'll be getting up for work at 5:00 AM.
