...How to begin? Hm. I don't plan on making this particularly long.

I have to say, while I can admit to sometimes stating things in ways that aren't entirely appropriate, no one will be able to convince me that I was wrong in my recent decision to remove someone from a dying a community. A community so severely crippled, largely because of ones such as this person, whom enjoy its suffering.

Perhaps I was wrong in one statement of open dismissal of said person's opinion. However, people seem to forget that, that is the one, single opinion the person has held--been at all willing to hold--throughout the entire span of their existence as a member of the community. I have offered countless times to help with that view. Offered so many people, so many ways to change the way things are, if they don't like them. You're opposed to this rule? Than vote against it. But the people who don't like the rules, don't bother to vote. This shows they aren't really willing to work for a change to what they see as better. They merely want things to go there way, and that should be it.

But consider this. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That is, as stated, everyone. Not just the people who don't like rules, but the people who do like them. Should the rules be completely abolished, going against the will of the communities majority, just because one person doesn't quite like it? Nay. I will never be convinced of such. If you really don't like the way things are in one place, but have seen that the majority do, then please, for the sake of all parties involved, including yourself, go elsewhere. Find some place that you'll like better. I'm not about to cripple a community, making at least 90% of its population upset, just for a single person's view.

Perhaps there are one or two people who may share similar views. But they aren't fighting to share them in an appropriate manner, haven't shown the will to help things change. All they do is complain. What good is complaining going to do? None. Make your opinion known, in a sensible manner, and fully. Explain your motivations, make people understand where you're coming from. They may or may not agree with you, but how could it possibly be harmful, to simply express your view? It is a view, after all, a personal opinion, and no one can persecute you for having it.

Views are a wonderful thing to have, and I believe everyone is entitled to their own, and indeed has every right to make them known, in a sensible manner. But when you go around making false, un based accusations, and expressing those views in as much of a negative manner as you can, don't expect to receive any respect in return. You can always say "Hey, I honestly disagree with this, and I'd like to see a change. How can we work something out?" Then, you would have my respect. However, when your manner of expression is "Fuck you for upholding something I don't agree with, and I'll see you in Hell for having a different opinion," then you won't get much positivity out of me. Especially since such expressions are entirely ungrounded.

Believe it or not? I don't make the rules. The people make the rules. These things were put up to vote. And for certain specifications that weren't publicly voted on, they were voted on by people the general public voted into positions specifically to cast votes for them. So perhaps there are some things you didn't get a direct vote in. But you were given the opportunity to vote for who would be casting the votes for you. And even that is subject to change. Often enough, we end up voting to set up a public poll for decisions to be made. So don't cry and whine, curse and accuse me for taking away your freedom. You are the one who chose not to be free.
